  • Illinois Fishery Exports to Sweden

    Schafer Fisheries, Inc., located in North Western Illinois, is the Midwest’s largest processor and wholesale/retail distributor of fresh fish and frozen seafood. This family owned business, established in 1954, purchases and processes fresh fish caught by over 100 commercial fishermen within a 1,000 mile radius. Their distribution reaches from California to Maine and all points in between, as well as internationally, thanks to their flash freeze process.

  • Branded Program Generates Multiple Market Export Sales

    Since 2000, Equitrade Group has been using the Branded Program to exhibit at U.S. and International tradeshows. Their persistence has helped them increase export sales by $2M in the last three years.. As a direct result of Food Export Branded Program, Equitrade was able to significantly increase exports to Colombia and Chile in 2015. The company was able to report $100,000 in actual sales to Colombia, $60,000 in sales to Chile and also a noteworthy $120,000 to Nicaragua last year.

  • Focused Trade Mission Helps Expand Michigan Exports

    In May of 2015, Watershed Wellness traveled to Taiwan as a participant in Food Export’s Focused Trade Mission to Taiwan for Retail and Food Service Products. During the mission the Michigan supplement supplier was briefed on the market and toured Taiwan’s major retail stores to anticipate how their product would fare.

  • Brew Export is Brewing with Export Success

    Brew Export, located in the 11th Congressional District of Michigan, is experiencing export success resulting from their participation in programs and services offered by Food Export Midwest and the International Marketing Program of the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD). The company has utilized the Food Export Helpline™, participated in export seminars, and the 2016 Midwest Buyers Mission to grow their business. Shannon Long, Founder and CEO of Brew Export, stated that the Food Export Helpline™ service helped them to “confidently enter the Chinese market” which resulted in $100,000 worth of sales. In addition, Brew Export recently participated in the 2016 Midwest Buyers Mission, and although no sales have yet been made, the company remains optimistic with the 7 potential buyers they met from the event.

  • Maine Seafood Supplier Increases Export Sales

    In April, Calendar Islands Maine Lobster LLC participated in Food Export’s 2016 Seafood Trade Show at Seafood Expo Global in Brussels, Belgium. During the show Calendar Islands was introduced to qualified buyers by Food Export’s on-site assisting staff and their In-Market Representatives.

  • Necco Candy Sweetens Exports to Taiwan

    In May of 2015 NECCO, a privately held company of American Capital Company, located in Revere, Massachusetts, in the 5th Congressional District, attended the Sweets and Snacks Buyers Mission at the Sweets and Snacks Expo in Chicago, Illinois. At the mission, they were successful in acquiring sales of $35,000 USD from a Taiwanese buyer.

  • Continued Success Within Chinese Market

    The Orange Cheese Company began working with Food Export about two years ago, in the fall of 2014. Since participating in the Food Export programs, they have made their first export sale and have had continued success with their exports into the various regions of China. One of these successes came in July of 2015 when Ms. Liu represented the company at Food Export’s Focused Trade Mission to Northern China for Retail and Food Service Products.

This Saint Joseph, Missouri Supplier of livestock animal feed supplements and ingredients has used the Food Export Branded Program for eight years, and utilized the program in 2015 to focus on growing their export sales to France.

  • Popping Export Sales for New Jersey Supplier

    Growing up in the Midwest, popping corn was bought from local farmers by Christine Myers, President of Madison Park Foods. After moving East, that same quality popcorn could not be found anywhere. A few years ago, Myers finally located the family farmer who grew this unique heirloom popcorn and decided it was too healthy and delicious to keep to herself. Myers’ husband used his background in the spice trade to formulate seasonings to make this all- American Snack extraordinary, and Madison Park Foods was born.

    Total Health Advanced Nutrition, Inc., from Minneapolis, Minnesota has utilized Food Export’s Branded Program since 2010. Taking advantage of the 50% reimbursement through Food Export’s Branded Program funded by the Market Access Program helped Total Health Advanced Nutrition obtain actual sales of $200,000 in China which is noted as a 20% increase in sales to the market.

  • Branded Program Helps Coop's Microcreamery Increase Sales in Canada

    COOP’s MicroCreamery attended the 2015 Summer Fancy Food Show, held in June, where they successfully gained a Canadian distributor for their Handmade Hot Fudge and Handmade Salted Caramel Sauce products. As a result, COOP’s MicroCreamery increased their sales in Canada by 100%, which allowed them to increase their production and increase their purchase of bulk goods.

  • Saudi Arabia & Canada Get a Taste of Woeber Mustard

    Woeber Mustard Co. began in Springfield, Ohio in 1905 as a small company with just a few mustard recipes made in the kitchen of Founder, Carl Woeber. Woeber would sell his mustard by going door-to-door with his horse and buggy. Today, 111 years later, Woeber Mustard is in its fourth generation and uses a manufacturing facility to produce their many mustard, vinegar and horseradish recipes that are sold across the US and even in other countries.
