Branded Program Continues to Be Driver of Export Success for Wisconsin Dairy Supplier

In June of 2010, CEO and Owner, Brian Slater successfully established Mill Haven Foods in the New Lisbon community where it has thrived ever since. With a wealth of industry experience and knowledge, the Wisconsin based company has grown over the last decade and now boasts a 77,000 square foot facility with over 50 full-time employees all dedicated to providing excellence in the dairy food ingredients sector.

With their state-of-the-art technology and innovation, Mill Haven Foods has positioned themselves as a superior source of ingredients in the dairy sector and expects continued growth regionally, nationally, and globally for years to come.

Mill Haven Foods has utilized Food Export – Midwest’s Branded Program since 2017, increasing their efficiency and results year after year. By utilizing allocated funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program in 2018, the Wisconsin Supplier reported success in both the United Arab Emirates and France with combined actual sales of $570,000 and projected sales of $1.5M through 2019.  Their activities centered around exhibiting at major trade shows, which proved to be a very successful strategy for utilizing MAP funding in those markets.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
