Market Access Program Increases Exports for New York Supplier

Utilizing Food Export’s Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program in 2018 helped New York based, United Growth Int'l Inc. increase their market share in China. Knowing that China is one of the largest economic and consumption countries they focused their effort to the market to expand their export of dairy, snack and nut products.

With assistance from their allocated 2018 MAP funding through Food Export - Northeast’s Branded Program United Growth Int’l Inc. attended SIAL China and Food & Hotel China and two other foreign trade shows to gain 20 new foreign buyer contacts and 2 new agent relationships. With these strong contacts they were able to complete export sales of $750,000 and project to complete over $1,000,000 of sales over the next twelve months.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
