Liber Chocolate & Food Products Co. Inc. DBA Liebers from Maspeth, New York utilized Food Export’s Branded Program funding in 2016 to penetrate the kosher retail food market in Israel. Submitting a marketing plan which included doing heavy advertising in the market and making label modifications to comply with the market standards, Liebers had a solid plan to increase their market export sales.

In 2016 Liebers increased their exports to Israel by $200,000 and gained three new buyer contacts.

Liebers has participated in the Food Export Branded Program since 2014 and has made strong gains establishing their kosher foods in Israel and has realized an increase in export sales to the market since using the Branded Program.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
