Developing Relationships in New Market for Dairy Producer

by Food Export | Jun 23, 2017
In December of 2016, DairiConcepts, located in Springfield, Missouri, in the 7th Congressional District, attended Food Export’s Focused Trade Mission to Dubai for Retail and Food Service Products where they received pre-event research into the market, a market briefing by the local USDA and one on one meetings with buyers from GCC-6 (Gulf Cooperation Council consisting of: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates). As a result of this show they are projecting sales to start emerging for the GCC-6 region. During the mission DairiConcepts had created four new foreign contacts as well as they developed a new agent relationship.

According to Cesar Gonzalez, the Senior Director of International Sales, “A new distributor relationship is being negotiated right now and will help us expandDairi Concepts our business in the UAE and other targeted countries in the Middle East”. He also stated that he still has projected sales because, “The sell cycle is long in our business and 1 PO can take more than six months to materialize” and that “It will take time to start seeing results but it has a good potential of success for us”.

DairiConcepts, L.P. is a producer of dairy and dairy related products such as cheese/ cheese products, dairy powders, drink flavor enhancers, dairy concentrates, and supernatural dairy concentrates.

Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
