Necco Candy Sweetens Exports to Taiwan

by Food Export | Jan 18, 2017
In May of 2015 NECCO, a privately held company of American Capital Company, located in Revere, Massachusetts, in the 5th Congressional District, attended the Sweets and Snacks Buyers Mission at the Sweets and Snacks Expo in Chicago, Illinois. At the mission, they were successful in acquiring sales of $35,000 USD from a Taiwanese buyer.

Since starting participation with Food Export in 2013, NECCO has participated in Buyers Missions, Focused Trade Missions, the Online Product Catalog, the Food Export Helpline™, webinars and a state seminar. As a result of a 2015 mission and a Canadian Seminar in Portland, Maine, NECCO found and employed a Canadian Sales Management team, found new distributors, established private label items and started Canadian packaging designs.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s   agricultural exports.
