Missouri Supplier Increases Exports to France

BioZyme Incorporated, from the 6th Congressional District in Missouri, is an innovative company in the agricultural fields of livestock nutrition and animal microbiology. This Saint Joseph, Missouri Supplier of livestock animal feed supplements and ingredients has used the Food Export Branded Program for eight years, and utilized the program in 2015 to focus on growing their export sales to France. While they have been exporting to France for some time, they had previously relied on their distributor to provide the marketing and sales strategies. But with the help of the Market Access Program Branded funds in 2015 they were able to provide the marketing pieces to help increase sales. With a solid marketing strategy in place BioZyme Incorporated noted that there are approximate 3,500,000 dairy cows in France, and they would like to capture 3% of market share over the next 5 years.

This past February BioZyme Incorporated was able to report that with the help of the Branded Program they were able to increase sales to France by $500,000 and project to increase sales another 25% over the next twelve months.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products; as these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
