Increased Export Sales for Brooklyn, New York Supplier

In September of 2015, Morris Kitchen, from Brooklyn, New York, of the 9th Congressional District, attended Food Export’s Focused Trade Mission to Canada for Specialty and Natural Products in Toronto, Canada. There they met with five Canadian buyers representing many different cities/provinces of Canada.

Post event the New York Supplier was able to report that they established one new distributorship which then resulted in a $5,000 sale and they project sales of $15,000 over the next twelve months. This sale also marks a 20% increase in sales to the Canadian market for the supplier.  MorrisKitchen

Morris Kitchen is a Brooklyn based company founded in 2009 by Kari Morris. They produce the cocktail mixers and syrups for the home mixologist as well as high end bars and restaurants.  

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
