Smooth Shipping to Costa Rica Thanks to Food Export

by Food Export | Jul 07, 2016
In June of 2014, Mrs. Clark’s Foods, Inc. / All-Juice Midwest, headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois with manufacturing facilities in Madison, Wisconsin and Ankeny, Iowa, attended Food Export’s Caribbean and Central American Buyers Mission for Retail and Food Service Products in Miami, Florida.

There, Joe Cikauskas met with a buyer from Costa Rica who was interested in their shelf stable juice products. In July of 2015, Mrs. Clark’s sent their first shipment of juices worth $15,600 to the buyer in Costa Rica.

Furthermore to meeting the buyer at a Food Export event, Joe also received assistance from the Food Export Helpline™ to complete the order. The Food Export Helpline™ Dennis Lynch assisted Joe by answering his questions related to product packaging requirements and necessary documentation for export to Costa Rica. When asked about the Food Export Helpline™, Joe replied “Dennis’ help was critical for making the sale possible. I am now working with Dennis on an ongoing basis for other international business opportunities as well.

While the sale to the buyer in Costa Rica is a good start, Joe is hoping it is only the beginning of a lasting business relationship. Joe plans to continue participating in Food Export activities such as Buyers Missions to meet new qualified international buyers and the Food Export Helpline™  to seek answers to his exporting questions.
