Original Juan Specialty Foods Making Advances in Korea

In October of 2014, Original Juan Specialty Foods, located in Kansas City, KS, in the 3rd Congressional District, participated in Focused Trade Mission to Korea for Specialty and Natural Products hosted by Food Export – Midwest. During this mission they met with several potential buyers and distributors.

As a direct result of these meetings they reported a sale of their products worth $14,289 which represented more than a 20% increase in their sales for this market. This sale has not only been another accomplishment for Original Juan but it has also lead to the potential for them increase sales in the next year for this market estimated at $50,000 in new business in Korea.

According to Greg Dennis, Vice President of Sales for Original Juan Specialty Foods, “Taking part in the Focused Trade Mission to Korea proved to be an extremely valuable experience.  Not only were we able establish a new importer relationship and complete a sale, we were able to gain valuable insight and experience by spending time in the Korean market.  There is simply no better way to establish your presence in a market than with a Focused Trade Mission that provides an immersive experience.” As a result of continued success domestically and internationally, Original Juan Specialty Foods predicts an increase of more than 20% in agricultural purchases and a staff increase of more than 10%.
