Grandma Mae's Abundant Exports

With their corporate headquarters located in Newark, Delaware, administrative offices in New York, New York, and their production being done in Sherburne, NY, Grandma Mae’s Country Naturals has been able to make an abundant amount of pet food for markets all across the globe.

During March of 2014, the company attended Food Export's Pet Food Buyers Mission at the Global Pet Expo.  At the show, the company made sales of $10,000 to markets in South Korea, $10,000 to markets in Taiwan, $35,000 to markets in China, and $75,000 to markets in Hong Kong.  The company also projected an estimate of $385,000 in export sales for the year. There were 3 new distributorships and 4 new buyer/supplier contacts.   This event was a great way for the company to meet new buyers and gain sales with new companies.

Grandma Mae’s Country Naturals is known for their specially formulated dry dog and cat food that is manufactured in upstate New York, with cans being made in New Jersey and South Dakota. The dry pet food and canned pet foods combines protein with other natural ingredients.  There is no dairy, corn, soy, or wheat in any of their pet food formulas.  

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products; as these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
