  • Ohio Supplier Gains Export Sales to China

    In August 2016, East-West International Group, from Moreland Hills, Ohio, participated in Food Export’s Focused Trade Mission to China for Retail and Food Service Products. The Mission began with a market briefing at the ATO Shanghai Office, and then proceeded to a retail tour of Shanghai.

    Kontos Foods, Inc. from Paterson, New Jersey is a U.S. based manufacturer and distributor of traditional Greek and Mediterranean foods. Founded in 1987, Kontos works with retail and food service market segments domestically and internationally. The family-owned company specializes in hand-stretched Flatbreads, including the Kontos Pocket-Less Pita®, Fillo dough, pastries, olives, gyro meats, and Greek yogurts, as well as over 50 varieties of multi-ethnic Flatbreads. Kontos, which has over 225 employees and was founded by Evripides (Evris) Kontos with his son Steven, together bring over 100 years’ experience in the premium food industry.

  • Sweet Sale Thanks to Sweets and Snacks Buyers Mission

    Between May 23 and 25, 2016, Herr Foods Inc., located in Nottingham, PA, in the 16th Congressional District, attended the Sweets and Snacks Buyers Mission at the 2016 Sweets and Snacks Expo where they established profitable relationships with buyers from the United Kingdom. Because of these connections, they made a sale with a buyer in the United Kingdom, worth $40,000.

  • Brenton Enterprises Achieves New Export Success

    In January 2016, Breton Enterprises dba Natural Nectar, from Huntington, New York, attended Food Export’s Northeast Buyers Mission. At the mission the New York Supplier featured their Oolala Chips and Hearts of Gold snacks and gained strong interest from the Canadian Buyer and the Buyer from Panama.

  • Branded Program Helps New Jersey Supplier Increase Exports and Explore New Export Markets

  • Michigan Supplier Gains Exports with Food Show Plus!™ Services

    GF Cooperative Inc. dba Graceland Fruit, Inc. located in Frankfort, Michigan, is one of the world’s largest single-providers of infused dried fruits; such as cranberries, cherries and blueberries. Graceland, in business since 1973, has achieved record sales each of the past four years with a focus on diversifying their business internationally. Participation in Food Export’s Branded Program has assisted the Michigan Supplier to exhibit at international tradeshows and in 2016 they also utilized Food Export’s Food Show PLUS!™ services while attending SIAL Paris.

    DrNaturalHealing, Inc. a Delaware operated minority-owned company, was supported by Food Export USA Northeast since August 2016. In September 2016, DrNaturalHealing, Inc. participated in Food Export’s Natural Products Buyers Mission at 2016 Natural Products Expo East in Baltimore. Dr. James Liu, Owner of the company, mentions, “The event helped us to build the professional network with seven international buyers. Our export program had a nice foundation. Currently, we are actively communicating with some of them to establish the distribution relationship”.

    The Esus Group, Inc., from West Chester, Pennsylvania attended Food Export’s Northeast Buyers in January of 2016. There they met with buyers from Guatemala, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Panama, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and the United Arab Emirates. During the meetings The Esus Group presented their beverage, snack, condiment, pasta, dressing and spreads that they were representing.

  • Kansas Supplier Increases Exports Utilizing Food Export's Branded Program Funds

    Since 1999, Original Juan Specialty Foods has been using the Branded Program to exhibit at U.S. and International tradeshows as well as participate in Buyer Missions. Their persistence has started to pay off in a big way. As a direct result of Food Export related activities such as the Japan/Korea Trade Mission and participating in the U.S. Pavilion at ANUGA, in 2015 Original Juan was able to add two new international markets, South Korea and Thailand, to their export list.

  • The First Step Towards Exporting

    In March 2015, JonnyPops LLC, located in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, in the 5th Congressional District, attended the Natural Products West Show where they used Food Export-Midwest’s Branded Program to exhibit. It was their first time participating in that trade show and the Branded Program’s generous cost reimbursement enabled the show to be an affordable option. This led to making successful buyer connections and brand promotion. They met two buyers from Taiwan and Australia; which led to promising inquires and projected sales for export.

  • Cape Cod Provisions

    Cape Cod Provisions, a company located on Cape Cod in the town of Pocasset, was able to find success exporting their goods globally through Food Export’s help. By participating in several years of Northeast Buyers Missions hosted by Food Export, they were able to spread the love for Cape Cod into Canada, Peru, Guatemala, and Saudi Arabia through buyer connections. Each market allowed for $5,000 sales. This mission allowed them to export to markets they have entered before as well as new markets.
