Food Export–Northeast is a non-profit organization that promotes the export of food and agricultural products from the Northeast region of the United States. We’ve been helping exporters of Northeast food and agricultural products for more than 50 years. Since 2004, we’ve been a significant leader in promoting the Northeast US seafood sector overseas, playing an instrumental role in facilitating trade between suppliers and worldwide buyers. As we come close to the end of 2020, we wanted to share our work on behalf of the Northeast US seafood industry and its impact on the sector. Take a look.

Raising Awareness and Demand for Northeast US Seafood

Through extensive programs and activities, Food Export–Northeast raises awareness and demand for Northeast US seafood products as trusted, high-quality, and sustainably harvested. Some of these activities include:

  • Trade Show Support: Food Export–Northeast provides a variety of services from coordinating Northeast US seafood pavilions that amplify the sector, to on-the ground support from the organization’s vast network of In-Market Representatives.
  • Trade Missions: Trade missions are an excellent choice for suppliers looking to gain first-hand knowledge of a particular market. These trips or virtual meetings provide the opportunity to meet one-on-one with specific buyers. Despite the global pandemic, we continue to hold virtual trade missions for suppliers to help them harness and realize new sales opportunities.
  • Cost Share Funding Support: Our Branded program is a cost share funding program that allows seafood suppliers to obtain reimbursement for up to 50% of their marketing efforts when targeting international audiences.
  • Virtual Consultations: This program allows supplier to connect directly with a Food Export Northeast In-Market Representative to get an inside look at a specific market.
  • Market Research: Our Market Builder program provides cost-effective research customized to suppliers which can be a valuable first step in identifying market sales opportunities and our Rep Finder service helps facilitate one-on-one meetings with interested buyers.
  • Food Export Helpline™: No matter if you’re an experienced exporter, or you’re new to international selling, our team is available via the Food Export Helpline™ to answer all of your questions.

An Investment in the Future of Northeast US Seafood Suppliers
