Indiana Supplier Benefits from Food Export’s Market Builder Program

Since its inception in 1996, Vesta Ingredients has focused on their endeavor to ensure the availability of world class, high-quality nutraceutical supplements at affordable prices, across the globe.

Vesta is a full-service contract manufacturer serving the dietary supplement industry and offers a comprehensive approach to fulfilling nutraceutical requests.

Vesta Ingredients currently operates from Indianapolis, Indiana, in the 5th Congressional District. In 2019, Vesta Ingredients participated in Food Export-Midwest’s Market Builder Program for South America. The Food Export Market Builder Program draws on In-Market Representative expertise to provide in-depth market research for a specific product, and facilitates direct meetings between U.S. companies and select groups of targeted importers.

Market Builder helped Vesta Ingredients promote their products through strategic research and efficient contact in the targeted market. Such efforts led them to successfully meet 15 new foreign contacts and establish 1 new agent relationship. With the help of Food Export-Midwest, Vesta Ingredients was able to secure $5,000 in export sales to South America with projected growth in the coming year.

The Indiana supplier has participated in Food Export’s Market Access Program funded Branded Program since 2013. Vesta Ingredients also participates in Food Export’s webinars, Buyers Missions, and the Online Product Catalog.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
