Leverage the expertise of our Guest Presenter

1:00 PM CDT / 2:00 PM EDT

It is important for all companies engaging in international trade to fully understand the standard methods of collecting payment from foreign customers. This webinar examines the ways that companies are paid for and finance their exports and looks at developing appropriate payment policies and procedures. Keep in mind there are also risks and costs associated with the buyer, so the concerns are often mutual by both parties. There are many variations of each of these payment terms to understand, since each transaction will need to be evaluated on its own merit.

Topics covered include:

  • Standard Methods Of Payment Used In International Trade
  • Payment/Risk Diagram
  • Selecting the Correct Payment Method
  • Cash in Advance, Open Account by Wire Transfer or “T/T”
  • The Documentary Collection – “Sight” and “Time” Drafts
  • The Export Letter of Credit – Processes and Procedures
  • Federal Government Export Finance Programs
  • Q & A Session With Presenter

Don’t have time to sit down and attend the live webinar? All registrants will receive access to a recording of the event, be sure to register so you can access the recording.

Important Registration Note: Individuals who register should receive an email with the link and information you need to participate one day prior to the webinar. If you don’t receive this information and/or have any questions, please contact us at webinars@foodexport.org.
