Leverage the expertise of our Guest Presenter

1:00 PM CDT / 2:00 PM EDT

It is certainly true in the food export business: You can’t manage what you can’t measure. Any company needs to know what the value and volume is to each market, as well as the average unit price, method of shipment and port of departure. The Census Bureau’s “USA Trade Online” (UTO) is a great way to easily obtain all that information. However, this resource remains largely unknown.

Join us as we connect the dots between the Harmonized System (HS) codes and learn how to use your HS code and Schedule B Numbers to obtain high quality export statistical data at no cost to you. Topics in this seminar include:

  • What is USA Trade Online (UTO)?
  • Using Export Data to Begin Market Research
  • Origin of Export Statistics
  • Note on the Origin of Movement vs. Port of Export
  • Harmonized System (HS) District-Level Data
  • HS Port-Level Data
  • State Export Data (Origin of Movement)
  • Differences between FAS’s Global Agricultural Trade System (GATS) and UTO
  • Q&A with Presenter
