Wholistic Pet Organics, based in Bedford, New Hampshire, is a leading manufacturer of premium-grade, all-natural, USDA-certified organic whole food supplements, treats, foods, and animal health products for companion animals, including horses. Its production facility is also USDA-organic certified—making it the only one of its kind in the industry and reinforcing the company’s commitment to exceptional product quality and purity.

A Food Export–Northeast participant since 2010, Wholistic Pet Organics has strategically leveraged a wide range of export promotion services over the past fourteen years, including the Market Access Program-funded Branded Program, Buyers Missions, Food Show PLUS!™ services, the Online Product Catalog, and numerous educational webinars. This long-standing engagement reflects the company’s dedication to steadily expanding its international footprint.

In 2024, the company continued this momentum by using Branded Program cost-reimbursement funding to increase brand visibility in Canada and China—two priority growth markets for natural pet nutrition. Wholistic Pet Organics utilized its funding to ship product samples to prospective buyers and to promote its offerings at leading pet industry trade shows. These efforts generated strong interest from international buyers and led directly to new export sales.

As a result, the supplier reported $16,000 in sales to Canada and $12,500 in sales to China this March, along with an additional $7,500 in global sales tied to recent trade show promotions. Looking ahead, Wholistic Pet Organics projects more than $165,000 in combined sales over the next twelve months, supported by 20 new foreign buyer contacts and multiple newly established distributorships.

The company also expressed appreciation for Food Export’s ongoing support, noting, “The Food Export and Branded Program staff have, without exception, been extremely helpful, informative, and knowledgeable. The program and staff again offer excellent follow-up and guidance in maneuvering through the maze of regulation to secure sales.”

Through consistent participation and a strong commitment to export development, Wholistic Pet Organics continues to broaden global access to its high-quality pet wellness products—demonstrating the long-term impact of Food Export–Northeast programs in empowering U.S. suppliers to succeed internationally.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
