Des Moines, Iowa-based Sunday Night® Foods crafts luxurious, shelf-stable premium dessert sauces in small batches using only the finest pure ingredients: dairy cream and butter, unsweetened chocolate and cocoa, cane sugar, cane sugar syrup, pure vanilla extract, and sea salt. Their extraordinary silkiness and gloss come from a classic French technique that creates pure chocolate ganache without corn syrup, preservatives, palm oil, or emulsifiers. These clean ingredients allow the flavors to shine through—rich, robust chocolate with fragrant, fresh-brownie cocoa notes, balanced with hints of buttery caramel, pure vanilla, and sea salt. Versatile and indulgent, the sauces can easily be transformed into stunning desserts.
Founded in 2021, Sunday Night Foods quickly gained recognition after winning a Sofi Award at the 2022 Summer Fancy Food Show. That same year, the company began participating in Food Export–Midwest programs to expand its international presence.
Participation in the Branded Program has been especially valuable, helping offset the cost of international marketing and promotions. Sunday Night Foods used the program to support promotions in the Netherlands, including in-store tastings, promotional literature, and trade show participation. The following year, the company leveraged the Branded Program to promote its dessert sauces in Canada, using allocated funds for product demonstrations, shipping samples to prospective buyers, facilitating in-store promotions, updating packaging to meet market regulations, website development, and trade show expenses. These efforts resulted in five new foreign buyer contacts and projected sales of $2,500 over the next twelve months.

“Growing a successful CPG company requires a significant amount of capital and time to build brand awareness and placement. Participating in the Food Export Program has been instrumental in helping us get our products into the international market,” said Sarah Pritchard, Chief Operating Officer of Sunday Night Foods.
Another highlight to Sunday Night Foods success was the company’s participation in Food Export’s Specialty Food Buyers Mission at the 2025 Summer Fancy Food Show. During the event, the premium sauce producer met with ten international buyers to showcase its products for export.
Sunday Night Foods quickly captured the interest of a German specialty food buyer. On the same day as the introduction, the company secured an initial order of four cases of its premium dessert sauces. Based on this new partnership, the company projects an additional $10,000 in sales over the next twelve months.
“This is the first time we’ve made a sale on the spot while speaking with a buyer,” said Sarah Pritchard, COO of Sunday Night Foods. “We’re especially excited about the long-term potential, as our German buyers plan to introduce our sauces to wholesale distributors in Germany. They believe our products have strong potential for success in the German market. Food Export is essential to our success.”
