Trade Leads

Receive Qualified Trade Leads from Interested Importers

Trade Leads Have the Potential to Convert into Sales or a Business Partnership

Food Export’s trade lead service helps businesses in the Midwest and Northeast connect with qualified international buyers.

How It Works

  1. U.S. suppliers add their products to the Online Product Catalog.
  2. International buyers inquire about U.S. products.
  3. Our network of In-Market Representatives (IMRs) and the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) offices verify international buyers and submit the lead to Food Export.
  4. Food Export searches the Online Product Catalog to find matching suppliers for the specific product inquiries.
  5. U.S. suppliers receive trade leads from qualified importers.

Upload your product to the Online Product Catalog in the Portal to receive exposure to potential international buyers.

As our IMRs are utilizing this service on a regular basis, it is important for participating suppliers to log onto the portal and make sure that their product listings and information is as up to date and accurate as possible.

Legitimacy

Trade Qualification Icon

IMRs and FAS posts conduct buyer verification to ensure the legitimacy of the inquiries before sharing any information.

Direct Line of Communication

We notify the corresponding U.S. suppliers of the trade lead, encouraging them to respond directly to the buyer.

Alignment

This approach helps buyers find suitable products and suppliers that align with their requirements.
