  • Wisconsin Company Drives International Sales

    In October, Didion Milling, located in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin, in the 5th Congressional District, attended Food Export’s 2016 Value-Added Feed Ingredients Buyers Mission where they had one-on-one business meetings with many representatives of foreign feed markets, including a buyer from Thailand. Didion projects that $350,000 in sales will result from this meeting alone.

  • Cooperative Increases Exports With Food Export Branded Program

    Organic Valley Family of Farms, a Cooperative owned by 1,800 Farmers around the U.S., has used Food Export to participate in many Buyers Missions, Webinars and the Branded Program since 2001. Each program offered Organic Valley the chance to start business in a new market or grow business in existing markets.

  • Ohio Supplier Expands Exports to Canada

    Launched in 2005 by the husband and wife pair of Andrea and Jimmy Zeilinger, Brand Castle is “very much a family affair”. Since selling their first Crafty Cooking Kit in February 2005, Brand Castle has become the leader in interactive baking kits for children and adults. What started with six products ranging from paint-your-own-brownie to a rainbow cookies kit has grown into a portfolio of over 300 items sold under three different brand names and numerous licenses.

  • Wisconsin Company Finds Success in United Arab Emirates

    In February 2016, Great Lakes Alfalfa, located in Merrill, Wisconsin, in the 7th Congressional District, was able to utilize Food Export-Midwest’s Branded Program to exhibit in Abu Dhabi, UAE at VIV MEA; a major international tradeshow for animal feed and feed ingredient companies. Food Export’s Branded Program provided the funds needed to secure a booth in the Wisconsin pavilion and gave the company the opportunity to meet several feed buyers in the Middle Eastern and African markets.

  • Wisconsin Supplier Achieves New Export Sale to Taiwan

    Bio-Nutrition International Inc. from Madison, Wisconsin, located in the 2nd Congressional District, attended Food Export’s Value-Added Feed Ingredients Buyers Mission at the 2015 World Dairy Expo. Post mission the Wisconsin animal feed ingredient supplier reported earning $100,000 in sales from Taiwan and projects $400,000 more in sales over the next twelve months. At the Buyers Mission, they also obtained four other new foreign buyer contacts.

  • Focused Trade Mission Helps Increase Exports for Connecticut Supplier

    The Bites Company participated in Food Export’s Focused Trade Mission to Toronto Ontario, Canada on September 6th-8th of 2016. During the Mission Food Export’s In-Market Representative took participants on a tour of local retail stores in the Toronto area and arranged one on one business meetings with potential buyers, distributors and brokers.

  • Branded Funding Helps Klara's Gourmet Cookies Enter Canadian Market

    In June, Klara’s Gourmet Cookies exhibited at the 2015 Summer Fancy Food Show with the help of Food Export’s Branded funds. They successfully gained three new foreign buyer contracts and made a sale of their gourmet macaroons and shortbreads, worth over $2,000, to Canada that following August. These sales mark the Massachusetts Supplier’s first entrance into the international market.

  • Missouri Supplier Increases Exports to the Czech Republic

    Diamond Pet Foods International/Schell & Kampeter Inc., from the 3rd Congressional District has utilized the Food Export Branded Program since 2004. Taking advantage of the 50% reimbursement through the Branded Program to establish a new distributor relationship in the Czech Republic was part of the marketing strategy for this Missouri pet food supplier in 2015.
