Food Show PLUS!™ Services Grow Export Sales for Illinois Supplier

In 2019, FoodSource, Inc., located in Willowbrook, Illinois, in the 11th Congressional District, utilized Food Export – Midwest’s Food Show PLUS!™ services at Gulfood 2019 where they made an impression on buyers from the Middle East. FoodSource, Inc. has now gained $1,000,000 in new export sales to the Middle East and 2 new agent relationships.

The Illinois Supplier has utilized the Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program since 2002. FoodSource, Inc. has also participated in Food Export Focused Trade Missions, Food Show PLUS!™, Webinars, and the Online Product Catalog.

FoodSource, Inc. is a global supplier of nuts and dried fruit, representing North American growers to importers, distributors, food manufacturers, and national retailers around the world. Their products include almonds, cranberries, hazelnuts, pecans, pistachios, prunes, raisins, sunflower seeds, and walnuts.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
