In 2019, Cheesewich Factory, located in Hodgkins, Illinois, in the 3rd Congressional District, participated in Food Export – Midwest’s Branded Program that helped them gain $40,000 in new export sales to Canada.

In February, the supplier was able to report these new sales and is projected to complete $150,000 in sales over the next twelve months while also making 50 new contacts and gaining 5 new agent relationships.

The Illinois Supplier has utilized the Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program since 2016. Cheesewich Factory has also participated in Food Export Buyers Missions, Food Show PLUS!™, the Food Export Helpline™, Webinars, the Online Product Catalog, and the Alibaba.com Onboarding Assistance program.

Cheesewich Factory is a producer of the Cheesewich, the cheese and salami sandwich made without bread. Cheesewich Factory is also a producer of string cheese, cheese curds, and bacon and eggs.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
