Honey Supplier Increases Exports to Canada

by Food Export | Jun 24, 2020
In February of 2019, Bare Honey LLC, located in St. Paul, Minnesota in the 4th Congressional District, sought guidance from Food Export – Midwest’s Helpline™ on exporting to Canada.

The following March, Bare Honey captured sales of $32,000, increasing their exports to the Canadian market by over 20%.

Bare Honey is a producer of honey-based spreads and infusions in the all-natural specialty/gourmet market. The company has enjoyed tremendous success exporting to Canada with help from Food Export – Midwest’s Branded Program. Since joining Food Export-Midwest in 2014, Bare Honey LLC has attended two Midwest Buyers Missions and makes extensive use of Food Export’s educational materials. In addition to utilizing the Food Export Helpline™, Bare Honey recently attended the “Selling on Study and Live Q&A” webinar. We’re excited to see where the world takes them next!

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
