Established in 2008, Koval Distillery produces organic whiskeys, gins, and specialty spirits in Chicago's first distillery since the mid-1800s. The distillery promotes a “grain-to-bottle” mentality with every product, leaning on the resources of local farmers and state of the art milling facilities, which has given them the designation as one of America’s leading small batch, independent spirit manufacturers.
Through a variety of Food Export activities, they have carried this designation with them to overseas markets where they have found continued success.
Koval Distillery has utilized
Food Export programs since 2015. By utilizing allocated funding from the
Market Access Program funded
Branded Program in 2018, the Supplier achieved great success exporting to a plethora of markets with the strongest efforts in Germany, Japan, Poland, Belgium, and the United Kingdom. In these top 5 markets, they reported solid actual and projected sales results, while also establishing new distributor partners in each. Koval continues to grow these markets into 2019 with the ongoing support of Food Export’s programs and services.
Food Export uses funding from the
Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the
USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
