Branded Program Increases Exports for Illinois Supplier

In 2018, Simplified Foods LLC. dba Simple Squares, located in Chicago, Illinois, in the 7th Congressional District, participated in Food Export – Midwest’s Branded Program that helped them gain $1,000 in new export sales to Canada. In February, the supplier was able to report these new sales and also projected to complete $1,000 in sales over the next twelve months while also making 1 new contact and gaining 1 new agent relationship.

The Illinois Supplier has utilized the Market Access Program funded Branded Program since 2015. Simplified Foods LLC. dba Simple Squares has also participated in Food Export Webinars, and the Online Product Catalog.

Simplified Foods LLC. dba Simple Squares is a producer of simple, great tasting, and healthy snacks, such as their Simple Squares Organic Nutrition Bars.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
