Bagel Exports to Japan, Belgium & Chile

by Food Export | Mar 27, 2019
Working with Food Export – Northeast since 2013 has helped Bronx, New York based Just Bagels Manufacturing Inc. gain new export sales and contacts. Utilizing the Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program for three years has helped the company increase their brand’s awareness in foreign markets while deferring costs of 50% for qualified international marketing expenses.

In 2018 Just Bagels Manufacturing Inc. focused their Branded Program funds and marketing efforts on the markets of Chile, Japan, and Belgium. The company attended multiple foreign tradeshows and advertised their product with their allocated funding. These efforts helped the New York Supplier gain over $450,000 in export sales for their bagels. They also gained 5 new foreign buyer contacts and established 3 new agent relationships.

Started in 1992 as a retail bagel store, Just Bagels was a local favorite and now they can be found throughout the United States at the finest restaurants, hotels, and retail stores. Their old fashioned water bagels are kettle boiled with the finest ingredients for the ultimate bagel crunch on the outside yet chewy on the inside. They export to France, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Belgium, Chile, Ireland, Israel, England, Hong Kong and now China.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
