Branded Program Helps Increase Exports from Wisconsin

by Food Export | Mar 23, 2018
Located at the heart of Wisconsin dairy farmland in the small town of New Lisbon, Mill Haven Foods, LLC is a promising addition to Wisconsin’s agricultural reputation as the “Dairy State”.

Specializing in the basic research and manufacture of dry dairy food ingredients by offering custom blending and packaging solutions to the food and beverage industry worldwide, Mill Haven Foods is on the cutting edge of the worldwide food and beverage industry.

Utilizing Food Export’s Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program in 2017 helped Mill Haven Foods increase their market share in Thailand. As Thailand is a rapidly growing market for dairy ingredients the Wisconsin Supplier saw a lot of potential for their milk and whey proteins as the country continues to develop their dairy and nutritional industries.

Mill Haven Foods used their allocated funds to defer the costs of exhibiting at the FI Asia Show last September which helped them make a first time export sale to a new market, through a new distributor.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
