Missouri Supplier Expands Exports

In February of 2018, Prime Performance Nutrition, from Cosby, Missouri, reported gaining new export sales to Kuwait with the assistance of Food Export’s Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program. Utilizing their allocated funds to focus on expanding their exports to Kuwait due to the robust race horse industry there, they looked to increase sales through product education and promotion.

With the promotion of their animal probiotics and supplements Prime Performance Nutrition gained 10 new foreign buyer contacts, earned a new agent relationship and realized $15,000 in new export sales. The Missouri Supplier also projects to do $30,000 in sales over the next twelve months.  

Formed in 2004 by combining the experiences of several individuals with diverse backgrounds in many areas of the equine industry including nutrition, training, marketing, sales and business, Prime Performance Nutrition started in order to provide quality products that are effective and have the highest standards in the equine industry. The equine industry is constantly changing through new discoveries in nutrition and physiology and the through the utilization of feeds from all over the world. Prime Performance Nutrition’s goal is to provide cutting edge nutrition based on the industry’s changing needs.

Participating in Food Export’s Branded Program since 2004 Prime Performance Nutrition has used the program to grow their exports in many international markets including the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and South America. They also are part of Food Export’s Online Product Catalog.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
