First Time Export Market and Increased Export Sales

by Food Export | Mar 19, 2018
The love of sharing a Korean meal with family and friends is what inspired the owners of Korean Delight dba We Rub You to create their mouth-watering Korean BBQ marinade. Made in the USA, their Korean cooking sauces are made using all-natural, non-GMO ingredients with no MSG, no high fructose corn syrup, and no artificial ingredients.

In 2013 the New York based Supplier began exporting finding strong markets in the UK and in Australia. At the same time they started utilizing Food Export’s Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program. The Program helped them get 50% reimbursement on expenses associated with exporting promotion costs.

Last year, 2016, they utilized their allocated funds to grow their product distribution in Australia. They did this by exhibiting at an in-market tradeshow and making label/package modifications. Their efforts helped them earn actual sales over $17,000.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products; as these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
