Branded Program Brings Veggie Fries to Cananda and Mexico

by Food Export | Apr 03, 2017
Farmwise LLC dba Healthy Life Brands is a family-owned business located in Wellesley, Massachusetts, in the 4th Congressional District. On a mission to get families to eat more veggies, Farmwise’s innovative Veggies Fries® and Veggie Tots™ offer healthier alternatives to traditional frozen French fries and tots. These revolutionary products are made from a blend of farm-grown vegetables, legumes, and potatoes and provide two vegetable servings in every ten fries and twelve tots.

In March 2015, Farmwise attended the Natural Products Expo West where they successfully gained a buyer from Canada. Then in June that same year, Farmwise attended the Summer Fancy Food Show where they attracted a buyer from Mexico. Because of these new Buyer relationships Farmwise exhibited 20% increase in sales in each market and these sales mark their first entrance into these respective markets. The Massachusetts supplier utilized Food Export Branded Program funds to attend both tradeshows.

Veggie Fries are Non-GMO, vegan, free of the top eight allergens, and each variety guarantees a minimum of 27% non-potato vegetables and legumes.

Farmwise participates in Food Export’s Branded Program as well as the Online Product Catalog. Food Export programs and services have helped Farmwise continue to cultivate and develop their international presence.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
