Minnesota Supplier Uses Food Export Branded Funding to Expand Exports to China

Total Health Advanced Nutrition, Inc., from Minneapolis, Minnesota has utilized Food Export’s Branded Program since 2010. Taking advantage of the 50% reimbursement through Food Export’s Branded Program funded by the Market Access Program helped Total Health Advanced Nutrition obtain actual sales of $200,000 in China which is noted as a 20% increase in sales to the market.

Participating in the Branded Program has helped the Minnesota supplier defray costs of shipping samples overseas and exhibiting at international tradeshows. Being able to do this last year they met 50 new foreign buyer contacts and established 4 new agent relationships.

Since 2002 Total Health Advanced Nutrition has been producers of the Lutria line of powered beverage mixes, including dietary and nutritional supplements, dairy replacers, teas and sports drinks. Working primarily with specialty food ingredients, meal replacement products and dried dairy ingredients that comprise their dietary supplement product line.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
