Cooperative Increases Exports with Food Export Branded Program

by Food Export | Jan 18, 2017
Organic Valley Family of Farms, a Cooperative owned by 1,800 Farmers around the U.S., has used Food Export to participate in many Buyers Missions, Webinars and the Branded Program since 2001. Each program offered Organic Valley the chance to start business in a new market or grow business in existing markets.

Utilizing the Market Access Program funded Branded Program in 2015 has helped the Wisconsin supplier realize over $1M in new export sales to Hong Kong.

Organic Valley offers 300+ dairy and meat sku’s. All products are organic with many of the goods certified halal and kosher. They mostly sell into the retail channel for goods promoted through food export.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products; as these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
