Single Day Export Sales from Paris for North Dakota Supplier

by Food Export | Nov 16, 2016
In October 2016, JM Grain Inc., located in Garrison, North Dakota, participated in Food Export’s Food Show PLUS!™ services at SIAL Paris. The Food Show PLUS!™ services include introductions and scheduled meetings with qualified buyers from multiple markets.

The SIAL Paris trade show happens once every other year and is a global event that attracts 150,000 visitors from not just the European Union, but Middle East, Africa, and Asia as well.  On the first day of the show JM Grain made multiple sales of pulse crops totaling $2,000,000.

JM Grain also used Food Export’s Branded Program to enhance their SIAL trade show booth. Agricultural media content was created to show the story of pulses, from field to table in celebration the United Nation’s designated International Year of the Pulse.

JM Grain is a processor and exporter of US grown and graded pulse crops: chick peas, lentils and peas. This Garrison, North Dakota supplier has utilized Food Export programs and services since 2012.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As exports increase, these small businesses created jobs and improve the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
