New Export Success for Pennsylvania Supplier

by Food Export | Nov 16, 2016
In January 2016, The Bacon Jams, from West Chester, Pennsylvania, participated in Food Export’s Northeast Buyers Mission. This was the fourth Buyers Mission the company attended since they began working with Food Export in January 2015.

While at the Buyers Mission, they engaged in nine one-on-one meetings with foreign buyers. Post event The Bacon Jams report new export sales to Canada for $100,000 with their newly obtained foreign contact. This sale, that occurred four months after the event, marks a 20% increase in sales to the market for the Philadelphia supplier.

The Bacon Jams produces three flavors of meat spread made from bacon: All Original, Red Chile & Garlic, and Black Pepper which they already supply across the United States.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
