Wisconsin Company Drives International Sales

by Food Export | Nov 09, 2016
In October, Didion Milling, located in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin, in the 5th Congressional District, attended Food Export’s 2016 Value-Added Feed Ingredients Buyers Mission where they had one-on-one business meetings with many representatives of foreign feed markets, including a buyer from Thailand. Didion projects that $350,000 in sales will result from this meeting alone.

Didion Milling has participated in the Value-Added Feed Ingredients Buyers Missions for many consecutive years. Dale Drachenberg, the company’s Vice President of Risk Management, has estimated total sales from this year’s event to reach $500,000.

Didion Milling is a family-owned agricultural business that focuses on the production of dry corn products and ethanol. They are committed to making quality products while also dedicating their efforts towards sustainability. Didion exemplifies the ambitions of Wisconsin agribusiness by driving its products to the foreign marketplace and contributing to the positive reputation of Wisconsin agriculture worldwide.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
