Saudi Arabia & Canada Get a Taste of Woeber Mustard

by Food Export | Nov 09, 2016
Woeber Mustard Co. began in Springfield, Ohio in 1905 as a small company with just a few mustard recipes made in the kitchen of Founder, Carl Woeber. Woeber would sell his mustard by going door-to-door with his horse and buggy. Today, 111 years later, Woeber Mustard is in its fourth generation and uses a manufacturing facility to produce their many mustard, vinegar and horseradish recipes that are sold across the US and even in other countries.

For over ten years, Woeber Mustard Co. has been using Food Export’s Branded Program funding to assist market penetration in countries outside the US. They have also attended numerous Buyers Missions and utilized the Food Export HelplineTM.

In 2015, with the help of the Branded Program, Woeber Mustard was able to expand their business in Canada and Saudi Arabia. Woeber experienced an increase in sales of over 20% in both markets, resulting over $2 million in total sales.

According to Wally Miller, National Sales Manager at Woeber Mustard, “We have been able to penetrate markets, like Saudi Arabia, that we would have never thought possible. The Food Export team is always able to help us navigate whenever we need direction. This a great program that more manufacturers should take advantage of”.

Woeber Mustard Company is a producer of fancy mustards, horseradish, sauces and vinegars for retail distribution, food service and private label. Product flavors range from classic Yellow Mustard, to Supreme Organic Spicy Brown Mustard, to Southwest Horseradish Sauce, to Kickin’ Buffalo Mayonnaise, to Supreme Wasabi Mustard, and everything in between.
