by Food Export | Sep 07, 2016
Food Export’s Branded Program has helped Washingtonville, New York based Golden Link Inc. grow their export business to China. In 2015, the Market Access Program funded Branded Program provided funding for Golden Link to focus on their exporting plan to China.

With a strong plan that included exhibiting at SIAL China and Food & Hotel China, the New York supplier was able to penetrate the retail segment in China with their snack food products. Reporting over $3.9M in actual new sales to China was a significant accomplishment as it marked a 20% increase in sales to the market.

Golden Link Inc. has participated in Food Export programs since 2007, participating in the Online Product Catalog, attending Seminars and utilizing the Branded Program.  With over 95% of Golden Link’s sales export based, the Branded Program has been instrumental in their overall growth.

Established in 1997 Golden Link’s mission was to “link” leading suppliers of concession products to the fast growing cinema market. And in the past nineteen years they have become the global leader in proving these products to over 80 countries around the world.  Golden Link continues to rank in Inc. Magazines 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America, this year ranking 3,509th with a growth rate of 90% over the past 3 years.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
