Illinois Dairy Supplier Expands Export Sales to Korea

Dutch Farms is a family-owned, fourth generation, Chicago-based company with Dutch roots. The Dutch have always been known for their dairy products, especially their wonderful cheese and that is what you get from Dutch Farms, outstanding cheese, butter and eggs.

Dutch Farms from Chicago, Illinois has utilized the Food Export Branded Program for seven years and the 50% reimbursement program has helped them see major growth in their international sales. The company has also participated in Food Export Focused Trade Missions, Food Show PLUS!™ activities, webinars, and the Online Product Catalog.

In May of 2015, Jeff Centerino, Vice President of Sales for Dutch Farms, traveled to Seoul, South Korea to attend the Seoul Food & Hotel Korea Show. While at the show he utilized Food Export’s Food Show PLUS!™ services. These services included pre-arranged, one-on-one meetings that helped the Chicago based supplier report new export sales of $1,500. It is also projected that an additional $200,000 in sales will result in the next twelve months.Dutch Farms

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
