Increased Sauce Sales for Minnesota Supplier

In September of 2013, Famous Products, Inc., from Eden Prairie, Minnesota, in the 3rd Congressional District, attended Food Export’s Focused Trade Mission to Canada for Specialty and Natural Products in Toronto, Canada. There they met with five Canadian buyers representing many different cities/provinces of Canada.

Post event Famous Products, Inc. was able to report that they established one new distributorship which then resulted in sales of $40,000 per year of their Famous Dave’s Spicy Pickles. This sale marked a 20% increase in sales to the market for the supplier.
Famous Products Inc.’s award-winning products include sauces, seasonings, marinades, and pickles for the retail market. Founded in 2000, the company markets retail food products throughout the US and now Canada.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products; as these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
