Illinois Supplier Increase Export Sales

One of Food Export’s premiere programs is its Food Show PLUS!™ services made available to registered U.S. suppliers traveling overseas to international tradeshows. Food Show PLUS!™ can maximize tradeshow success with: pre-show product research, material translation, in-market briefings, lead generation and more.

E. Formella & Sons Inc. of Countryside, Illinois attended the Canadian Restaurant & Foodservices Association (CRFA) Show in March of 2014 and utilized Food Export’s Food Show PLUS!™ services to maximize their success at the expo.
As a result of utilizing Food Export’s Food Show PLUS!™ services, E. Formella was able to report achieving actual sales of $30,000 and reporting projected sales of $250,000 over the next twelve months. This would also represent a first-time export sale to the Canadian market.

Kathy Formella of E. Formella & Sons Inc. has utilized Food Export services since 2003, taking advantage of the Food Export Helpline™, Food Show PLUS!™ services, Market Builder, Buyers Missions, Focused Trade Missions, the Online Product Catalog, seminars and webinars. Of the activity in Canada, Kathy has stated, “Food Export’s Canadian In-Market Consultant and team did a wonderful job setting up meetings with great Brokers. She also informed us with positive feedback from the Brokers and provided us with a spreadsheet of companies that could carry our products.”

Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
