Distinctive Foods LLC Grows Exports to Canada

In May 2014, Distinctive Foods LLC, ventured to Chicago, Illinois to participate in Food Export-Midwest’s Food Service Buyers Mission at the National Restaurant Association Show. The result of meeting with buyers from Brazil, Japan and Hong Kong looking to import U.S. food service products, was beneficial to Distinctive Foods.

At this 2014 event Distinctive Foods was able to report actual sales of $200k to Canada. Even though already exporting to this market this new contact brings hopes of bigger, continued sales to Canada.

Distinctive Foods began participating in Food Export’s Buyers Missions in 1998. Realizing the value of the international buyers being brought to the U.S. for one-on-one meetings was quickly recognized by Distinctive Foods. And even as Distinctive Foods’ export markets expand and grow, the value of Food Export’s Buyers Missions is still something recognized as a unique and valuable tool.

Distinctive Foods LLC is the parent company of Pie Piper Products, a bakery established in 1976 to product high quality bakery items under the inspection of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). For over 25 years they have been manufacturing a wide variety of high quality baked goods including Cheesecakes, Carrot Cakes, Quiche, Brownies, Blondies, Crispy Rice Treats, Chocolatey Dipped Pretzels and other dessert Items.
