Cracked Candy Enters Japanese Market With Food Export's Help

by Food Export | Jul 06, 2016
Cracked Candy LLC, a Brooklyn, NY based candy manufacturer, was contacted by a small Japanese Entrepreneur through the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, who was interested in their unique candy product. The inquiry led to an order of 3,000 units of Cracked Candy. As well a separate order of 600 units; both orders equaled together at $10,000. The transaction occurred with the help of Food Export’s Helpline™ service.

Flora Pringle, Founder of Cracked Candy LLC mentioned that with careful planning, “accessing the Food Export Helpline service was fantastic. The advice was invaluable and Dennis Lynch [Food Export’s Helpline™ Counselor] was so quick to respond and was an extremely knowledgeable resource. It made me feel more confident and has helped to go after exports, after having been a complete novice.”

Cracked Candy is all natural, sugar-free, and made from trees! Brooklyn born & handmade, safe for vegans & diabetics.  No soy, dairy, corn, gluten or GMOs. It is made from North American xylitol instead of sugar and 100% pure, therapeutic grade essential oils. It is called Cracked Candy because Flora feels she has ‘cracked’ the idea of candy by creating a guilt free treat. The candy is hand-broken into shards that you pick out of a tin choosing the size you fancy. Keep calm and crack on! The company currently has 4 flavors—Peppermint Ice, Lemon ice, Cinnamon, Mellow Orange. Cracked Candy has participated this past year in Food Export’s Helpline™ services and they exhibited for the first time at the Summer Fancy Food Show with growing international interest from foreign markets.
