Branded Program Helps Kansas Supplier Make Export Sale to Canada

by Food Export | Jul 06, 2016
Grandma Hoerner’s Foods Inc. has been a family owned operation located in Alma, Kansas since 1987. Grandma Hoerner’s took advantage of the 50% reimbursement through the Branded Program to meet multiple buyers at events in Canada. Recently, the supplier started exporting to Canada and they are excited to have a multi-pack box in Costco Canada, and are seeing growth from the distribution. They signed up for the Branded Program in 2015; and have seen an approximate 10% increase in sales overall with exporting; believing it will double within the next year!

Heather Robinson of Grandma Hoerner’s explains that the using Food Export's Branded Program has increased their companies production as well as bulk fruit/bulk goods purchases. She goes on to say, “Participating in the Food Export Branded Program has been a wonderful opportunity and experience for Grandma Hoerner’s. We have enjoyed getting the connections with exporting buyers & distributors during the sponsored Buyers Missions, as well as the food shows we have participated in. It’s been such an amazing experience and a blessing to our Kansas proud company.”
