Wichita Supplier Utilizes ATP Funds to Enter Canada

In November 2019, Miller’s Inc., located in Wichita, Kansas in the 4th Congressional District, sent product samples as part of Food Export - Midwest’s Consumer Feedback Program at the National Women’s Show in Toronto, Ontario.

This activity was funded thanks to funding from the Agricultural Trade Promotion (ATP) Program and featured the opportunity for U.S. Suppliers to receive product feedback from Canadian consumers attending the show.

According to Melody Miller, Owner of Miller’s Inc., “My team and I are pleased with the wonderful comments and excited about the possible next steps.” As a result of their participation, Miller’s Inc. is continuing to explore opportunities with Food Export, such as utilizing Food Export’s Market Builder Program, to enter the Canadian market.

Miller’s Inc. is a producer of Miller’s Famous Bar-B-Que Baked Beans in the specialty and gourmet market segment.

Food Export uses funding from the Agricultural Trade Promotion (ATP) Program and the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export - Midwest and Food Export - Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
