Vegan Cheese Sauce Company Utilizes Educational and Market Entry Programs to Prepare for International Success

In 2019 and 2020, Core and Rind, located in St. Louis, Missouri in the 1st Congressional District, participated in Food Export – Midwest’s Export Advisor Program and the Buyer’s Mission at the 2020 Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco.

They utilized the Export Advisor Program in 2019 and in 2020 to help develop an exporting plan, learn to prepare for meetings with buyers, and to take advantage of new international leads and opportunities. Gary Winget, their Food Export Advisor, encouraged them to participate in the Winter Fancy Food Show Buyers Mission and helped prepare them for their meetings.

According to Rita Childers, Co-Founder of Core and Rind, “Without the Food Export program we wouldn't have met an amazing lead at the Fancy Food show who's helped us to seamlessly and quickly expand into the Canadian market. From here, the European market is close behind. This program has opened up so much opportunity for our healthy food business. We are excited to continue to work with them and see where the possibilities take us.”
