Can you define APHIS, COFS, EEI, FAIRS and TRQ, or is it alphabet soup?

If you’re not familiar with these (and other) acronyms, please join us for an overview of the "Top 25" most important terms in the food export industry today. Most export glossaries are not food focused, and those few that are can be rather generic.

By drilling down a little more we can arrive at an “Export Essential” glossary of terms. Not all of them will apply to each type of product or transaction, however recognizing them helps save time and effort as you manage the export process.

About the Presenters

Dennis Lynch, M.I.B.A., is a 35-year veteran of international trade who has held a variety of positions in the public and private sectors. He has been directly involved in monitoring, troubleshooting and facilitating export transactions for more than 25 years. 

As the export counselor behind Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast's Food Export Helpline, Dennis provides customized technical export assistance to a variety of food and agricultural firms.  He is a dynamic and informative speaker who speaks regularly at educational seminars throughout our organizations’ Midwest and Northeast regions. 

Dennis holds a Master’s Degree in International Business Administration awarded by West Coast University and holds a California Community College Lifetime Teaching Credential in Marketing and Distribution. He also taught international trade courses at a variety of Southern California Colleges for nearly 20 years. He was awarded as “Distinguished Instructor” at the University of California Irvine International Extension Program for International Students. Twice he was awarded “Instructor of the Year” at Webster University in their Weekend College program for international business instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
