The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) has fostered a relationship by virtue of the agreement's comprehensive, market-opening rules. It is also creating a more equitable set of trade rules as trade barriers in Mexico are reduced and eliminated.

U.S. exports of agricultural products to Mexico rose 7% to US$19.3 billion in 2014, ranking it 3rd in the world after China and Canada. Also in 2014, U.S. exports of consumer-ready food products represented 48% of the agricultural total, or US$9.2 billion, an increase of 12% from 2013 and a new record high. Mexico remains the 2nd largest export market for consumer ready products.

We cordially invite you to learn the opportunities that NAFTA has to offer. The retail sector in Mexico continues to grow and there are great opportunities with the growing retail segment.

Our featured presenter, Raul Caballero, In-Market Representative for Mexico, will discuss:

  • Mexico’s Business Outlook for Food Companies
  • The Retail and Private Label Food Segments in Mexico
  • Compliance of the Retail Labeling Regulation for Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages in Mexico
