Food Export will provide its Food Show PLUS!™ services at Gulfood Manufacturing at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Established in 2014, Gulfood Manufacturing is the biggest food manufacturing, ingredients, processing and packaging tradeshow for its sector throughout the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia (MEASA) region.

The MEASA region's food & beverage processing industry is witnessing phenomenal growth. Rapid population growth, booming food service markets, diverse and affluent consumers demanding new trends, tastes and products. To keep up with this unprecedented demand, the food industry in the region needs access to the latest manufacturing business improvement tools, from ingredients to processing equipment. 

Gulfood Manufacturing’s three-day event includes segmented show sectors for Ingredients Middle East, ProPack Middle East, and Food Logistics Middle East. The event will also host a two-day Food and Beverage Industrial Investment Summit, which is a strategic event providing unique opportunities to understand the wide-ranging benefits of doing business in MEASA.

U.S. exports of U.S. agricultural products to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC-6) members (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (or UAE), and Saudi Arabia) declined slightly 2% to nearly US$3 billion in 2015. U.S. exports of consumer food products remained steady in 2015 and totaled over US$1.8 billion, which is nearly 63% of the agricultural total. This partner group of nations is a solid importer of U.S. processed foods, totaling a new record high of nearly US$1.3 billion, growth of 2% from the prior year. Saudi Arabia is the largest export market of the group 43% of the regions total and the UAE now accounts for 42% making them the dominant markets for U.S. food products in the region, although the smaller markets are likely to receive more U.S. foods indirectly. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are now the 19th and 20th largest markets from the U.S. for agricultural products, and are frequently in the top 10 of most major processed food export categories.
