The Dominican Republic has proven to be an appealing and profitable market for U.S. companies for many years. USDA’s Santo Domingo Office of Agricultural Affairs, OAA, hereinafter referred to as “Post” reports that the Dominican Republic is now the fifth largest market for U.S. consumer oriented products in the Western Hemisphere, after Canada, Mexico, Chile and Colombia, with exports rising 6% in 2019, an all-time record high.

Euromonitor projects the retail sales value in the packaged food market growth rate to be estimated at over US$3.2 billion by 2024, and 23.8 growth or US$619.7 million.
