For the small- and medium-sized (SME) business, entering into the export market for value-added food products is an important decision. The question of “Why Export?” certainly comes up. There are some important facts to consider, one being that to this day, more than 95% of the world’s population resides outside of the United States, which means the additional sales growth is very likely from exporting. By producing at a higher capacity, fixed costs are lowered per unit, especially if little or no adaptation is required. There is risk reduction in that diversification helps protect business in the event of a domestic slow-down.  Join us as we review the benefits of exporting value-added food products to the world.

Topics include:

  • Overseas Economic Growth
  • Small Companies Can Be Successful Exporters
  • International Markets More Accessible
  • Export Assistance Is Available
  • U.S. Competitive Advantage
  • Look at Specific Opportunities for Food
  • Forecast for the Future
  • Q & A Session With Presenter
